Movie Review: Ender’s Game

An extremely intelligent gamer turning into a military commander. As the high ranking officers think that the children will be able to change the future, because of their reflexes and ability to think intuitively, they are expected to lead and prevent alien invasions.

An ant-like alien species (Formics) tried to invade earth as they are looking for a planet to solve their population growth problem. however, Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley) prevent that from happening by destroying their mother-ship. But they leaved the earth devastated and almost destroyed. After more than 50 years Colonel Hyram Graff (Harrison Ford) train children to prevent any future alien invasions. Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) catches the eyes of high ranking officers after he handles a bullying classmates. He was sent to Battle school at space where he was trained to be a commander of an army. He experienced many hardship and trials, especially from Bonzo Madrid (Moises Arias) a squadron leader and bully. However overcome this things easily by using his brain. The movie ended with a mind blowing plot twist that will literally make your mouth fall open.

Writer-director Gavin Hood have done a great job in this film especially the special effects. The Zero Gravity has some interesting scenes you haven’t seen like that before. However, given a wonderful story and a great cast but such a waste since the execution didn’t turn out as expected to be a perfect one. Overall, it’s still a wonderful and mind blowing movie that will certainly like by gamers and sci-fi lovers, and it’s a nice movie to be watched with family and friends.
